Meet Steve Osterholzer
Steve’s spent most of his life pursuing three passions: the military, wilderness, and serving teenage boys. He served his country for nearly 26 years as an Army Infantryman, Apache helicopter pilot and Public Affairs Officer, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
His love for wilderness spans from big-game hunting in the Rockies to paddling remote wilderness lakes, spending more than fifty days on the water each year.
Big-game hunting in the Rockies infused his soul with the spirit of wilderness and blessed him with incredible adventures with his children.
He’s the founder and director of the Christian non-profit called “Of Mountains & Men”, whose mission is to “Guide Teens Into Christian Manhood.” Primarily serving young men without fathers, the 501c3 combines wilderness adventures with biblically-based discussions about Christian Manhood.
He’s been featured in more than a dozen magazines and is the author of two books: A Wilderness-Filled Soul and Wilderness Waters.
